Embracing the moment

I strive to see, appreciate, and interpret the places I inhabit through my art. My paintings attempt to capture the essence of the spaces I encounter. Rather than striving for realism, I seek to identify the subtle, recognizable elements within an environment that invite viewers to connect with a specific place on a deeper level. It is through the interplay of space and light, shapes and color, that I reach for a sense of belonging and wonder.

I recognize that the creative process is a journey filled with various stages, each imbued with its unique significance. I immerse myself in the process, delighting in every brushstroke and decision that shape the final outcome. Through the canvas, I invite others to join me in this exploration, to discover the beauty of a moment and the power of embracing the essence of the places we inhabit. By allowing the art to breathe life into the spaces I encounter, I seek to inspire an appreciation for the present, reminding the viewer that wherever they may be, there they are— truly and beautifully present.
