The painting depicts hope and turmoil in Iraq during the winter of 1991. In the scene, a young girl symbolizing innocence and vulnerability is shown embracing a teddy bear and seeking comfort amidst stormy times. Beside the girl, we see a transparent figure of a woman holding her hand firmly, emphasizing the human ability to find solace in dark times.

Artist Statement:

My art breathes life into my emotions, bridging the gap between my inner world and the hearts of others. Through self-portraits and capturing the world's beauty, I weave stories that resonate. Oil and acrylic are my mainstays, but I delight in exploring charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, and mixed media.
