Artist Statement

When working on an oil-on-paper series of paintings, I was inspired by considerations of energy taking form, influenced by ever changing realities. What we think, believe to know, experience, feel, love, all of it, unique and ultimately evolving. One could consider this painting as a snapshot of that dynamic, ongoing process. A moment to mingle and linger within overlaid form, texture and emergent script.

Karen Palamos graduated from California College of Arts and Crafts in the 1989, and works primarily with photography, printmaking, video and painting. She is also a psychotherapist.
